I have been with dogs all my life. My first dog was an Irish Setter—I was too young to remember much, but apparently I even ate biscuits with her. The second dog in my life was a Labrador Retriever, a breed I have remained devoted to for over 50 years.

I have also owned terriers, one at a time, and currently I have a Cairn Terrier. A newer breed in my life is the Finnish Spitz, wonderful hunting dogs owned by my husband.

I have bred Labradors (prefix Palabras) on a small scale over the years, but nowadays I am too busy with judging.

I have judged in 30 countries, across numerous breeds, at both large and small shows, in exotic warm locations as well as outdoors in freezing cold conditions. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet dogs and dog people from all over the world—such a wonderful hobby!

I also feel very honoured and humbled to have been chosen to judge Best in Show at one of the shows in Trondheim. Thank you!
